Here at Orchard Mead Academy, it is our mission to inspire our pupils to grow and succeed.
We take pride in our challenging and well-designed curriculum which seeks to give all our students access to a broad, rich and deep education. A significant proportion of our students study the English Baccalaureate set of subjects to GCSE level, highlighting our drive to ensure all students benefit from an academic and enriching curriculum. Alongside traditional subjects, sport, music and the arts are highly valued. All of this allows our students to leave us as well rounded aspirational young people, ready for the challenges the next phase in life brings them.
We are proud of our school community and work tirelessly to provide opportunities for our students to thrive, we want to forge meaningful partnerships with our families and to take our place as a vital part of our student futures. Each academic year offers an opportunity for us to reconnect, inspire and continue our progress on the next steps of Orchard Mead’s improvement journey.
Together we make a positive difference.
At Orchard Mead Academy, as part of the TMET family of schools, we operate a bespoke Graduated Response to Mental Health within our school to ensure that our pupils are provided with a secure framework within which to thrive; identifying and meeting need with a variety of strategies and resources; collaborating and utilising appropriate professional support services where necessary. Our Inclusion team work with families and pupils to remove barriers to better outcomes for all, and our Orchard Community Roots events connect families with a network of support and services within the wider community.
