Orchard Mead Academy aims to ensure the use of the academy’s facilities to its full potential. It is intended that the premises and sports facilities are available firstly, for the benefit of the learners and secondly, for local people consequently providing the academy with financial income.

We have the following fully accessible facilities and purpose built facilities available for hire at competitive rates.

  • Our Training centre is a self-contained building with its own kitchen, WC facilities, lounge area and its own independent access into the building.
  • Seats up to 36 in a classroom layout, 50 as a theatre set up.
  • The centre is fully furnished, with Wi-Fi access, telecoms and a projector.
  • The main room can be set out in a range of layouts including boardroom, classroom, U-shaped or theatre style.
  • Refreshments can be provided, with hot and cold food available.
  • Whiteboards / flip chart, paper and pens can be provided if required.
  • We have free on-site parking.
  • Wheel chair access & Disabled toilet

Training Centre Daily Rate:

Full Day
(8:00am to 5:00pm)		 £200.00
Half Day
(8:00 am – 12:00 noon) or (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm)		 £100.00

Our Sports Hall can accommodate a variety of activities and equipped with the following:

  • 4 x Badminton courts
  • 2 x Cricket practice nets
  • 1 x Full basketball court
  • 8 x Basketball shooting boards
  • 6-aside goals and pitch.

It is available to book as a half or full use.

The sports hall can be hired with with fully functioning changing facilities.

We also have a new gym in our main building for hire, this can also be hired with our fully functioning changing facilities.

  • 1 x badminton Court
  • 8 x table tennis tables
  • 5 aside marked pitch
  • Basketball courts marked out

This area can cater for a multitude of activities including tennis, netball, and five a side football.

The outdoor facilities can be hired with or without the use of our separate fully equipped changing facilities.

We also have a grassed area which is available to hire.

The hourly rate on a week day for all the above facilities is £25.00

The hourly rate on a weekend for all the above facilities is £35.00

All bookings require an administration fee of £6.00. All prices shown are for personal hirers, community groups and non-profit making clubs. Commercial hire prices determined on application.

The sports hall is not available for booking in the academy exam seasons (October / February & May/June) and is closed for two week in the summer holidays for maintenance. The school is closed throughout the Christmas holidays.

Male and female changing and shower facilities are available.
